the center of harvey is now clearly over louisiana. it s been plaguing them for long enough now. we still do have some flash flood warnings right along the texas-louisiana border. now we re starting to see it filling in in areas of eastern arkansas and eventually this will move up towards nashville too. here s our latest rainfall projections. remember, this isn t flat like it is around the houston area and down along the gulf coast. this is where we get in the hills, and this is when we get the runoff that can be problematic as all of the water doesn t spread out. it really just concentrates in small areas. five inches of rain widespread this evening. this is going to happen pretty quickly too. heavy rain will develop during the day today, be very heavy tonight, and then by tomorrow morning i ll probably be talking about a lot of rivers heading in through flood stages and maybe even major record flood stages a few areas here in western tennessee. the rest of the map is kind of quiet. w
