In the spring of 2018, The War on Drugs’ Adam Granduciel was experiencing one of those rare moments when a person’s professional and personal lives both reach their pinnacle. Having completed a grueling tour with 2017’s A Deeper Understanding, the band’s fourth release that would win a Grammy for Best Rock Album and sell over 200,000 copies, he had somehow cracked the code of making classic rock cool for indie kids.
The Philadelphia Eagles who released a successful Christmas album in 2022 have planned a follow-up record. 'A Philly Special Christmas Special,' which features Patti LaBelle and other area musicians, goes on sale Nov. 3. It will be available to stream in December. It again features Eagles Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson. It has 11 songs, including 'All I Want For Christmas Is You,' 'Auld Lang Syne,' and 'Dominick, the Donkey.'
[laughter] that is all i have. kat: i can take it from here. greg: i know you can. kat: i m a professional. i think that all of this, too, is that these stories, they really wanted them to be true so badly. that they were willing to overlook a lot of red flags. the jussie smollett story, you just hear that story. there are several things along the way where you are like, he was out getting subway and all that stuff. but they wanted to be true because it fits their narrative so they just kind of overlook it, which, i mean, you ask if that is something you can do, i did it a lot in my 20s in every relationship that i had. go to the guy he tells you that he was just at subway? greg: yeah. kat: if you don t want to see the truth. greg: i think in both sides, i hate to say this, but both sides do this. the right has been that when it comes to, like, you know, the war on drugs. but i just don t see them coming
