patterson is a suspect. the man hunt underway right now. let s begin on the ground in atlanta with charles watson. hi, charles. good afternoon, gillian. at this point in this investigation, police are having folks here in the midtown area shelter in place. you can see here behind me there s heavy police presence out here. police are starting to condense this crime scene some and move it back closer to the building where the shooting is presumed to have happened. you mentioned just a few moments ago, police released the identity of a suspect, the man that police believe is behind the shooting that happened here in midtown this morning. he s identified as deon patterson. he is a 24-year-old man and police are asking folks to be on the lookout for patterson. urging the public not to approach him and call 911 instead because he is considered armed and dangerous. now, we just got an update from police a few moments ago. they said they were aware of a carjacking in the vicinity o

this is your world. let s get the latest on where this starts with charles watson. woe just got an update from the atlanta miss department. we learned that officers believe deon patterson is the possible shooter that walked in to the medical facility behind me this afternoon and opened fire with multiple people. we re told at least five victims were shot, one person was killed. four others were wounded. they re at an area hospital being treated as we speak. the last 20 minutes or so, we learned more about the victims. we learned they re all women. their ages range from 25 years old to 71 years old. a 39-year-old woman was killed in this shooting today. neil, in the last 45 minutes or so, we ve seen probably the most movement we ve seen out here at the scene since the shooting was reported earlier today. we saw several officers, many on motorcycles, many in the armored swat cars move east of 14th street where we re standing right now and make ten minutes or so, we saw anothe
