The Shack BBQ to keep legacy alive under new owner

The Shack BBQ to keep legacy alive under new owner The Shack BBQ to open under new management By Brittany Michaleson | April 14, 2021 at 6:52 PM CDT - Updated April 14 at 7:01 PM LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - After a six-and-a-half-year run, The Shack BBQ was one of many Lubbock restaurants forced to close its doors last year. Owner Kyle Farris was struggling with constant shutdowns and restrictions, and there was no end in sight. “You don’t want to walk away from something you spent so much time and effort in, but brisket went up to over $7 a pound. It was hard getting, just supplies, sometimes our trucks would be half empty,” Farris said.
