starting us off this hour. up next, the ultraconservative house republicans who want to take charge next year. but first, my friend richard louis is here with the headlines on her canyon. hey. a very good evening to you. we are continuing to track tropical storm ian as it heads towards florida. it is now generating winds of 60 miles an hour, according to the national hurricane center. the storm watch has been issued for the florida keys. the unexpected to produce heavy rain and flooding over jamaica and cuba before that. flash flooding and rainfalls also predicted across the florida keys, which could get as much as six inches of rain in some areas through tuesday. that storm is forecast to become a major hurricane in the eastern gulf of mexico. in the middle of the week but uncertainty about its long term track and it s intensity is higher than usual. you can see that on screen. ian would be the first hurricane to hit the florida peninsula since 2017. more ayman with ayman mohyeldi
