Quinn Slazinski, who picked up his third personal foul about 2 minutes into the second half, scored 10 consecutive West Virginia points in a 16-2 run sparked when Noah Farrakhan hit a 3-pointer with about 15 minutes to play and capped when Kerr Kriisa made another 3 with 10:29 left. The Mountaineers tied it on a 3-pointer by Seth Wilson about 90 seconds later and Akok Akok threw down a dunk to make it 62-all with 6:34 to go.
Kaidon Salter threw for 225 yards, rushed for 118 and accounted for four touchdowns Saturday as No. 25 Liberty defeated UMass 49-25. Salter averaged better than 20 yards per pass while completing 11 of 16. The Flames (11-0) struck early, scoring on four straight first-half drives to take a 28-0 lead.
Liberty's first season under Jamey Chadwell couldn’t have gone better. The No. 25 Flames (10-0) have already secured a berth in the Conference USA championship game, and will play it on their home field against New Mexico State, a team they beat 33-17 in September. It's the first back-to-back wins for the Minutemen since the 2018 season.
