Wifisfuneral has lived and done a lot.
He’s had a life of upheaval, battled drug addiction, and was a nationally signed artist before he could even buy an innocent beer. But all that has added up to a compelling figure whose emo-trap sound is delivered distinctively in a new-school cadence that’s tight and gymnastic.
Wifisfuneral comes to town on Friday, Jan. 22, to perform downtown at Soundbar.
The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are still available. If you go out, respect everyone’s distance, for all our sakes.

The next edition on Thursday, Jan. 21, will feature the
Big Ron Betts Trio. Accompanying the veteran local bluesman will be former funkUs bandmate
Pat Coombs and Prison Wine’s
Partin Whitaker. The outside, distanced event begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are still available for either individuals or tables for up to four for your bubble buddies.
And though that s a lifetime of laurels right there, Megaforce and the Zazulas Crazed Management would also boost other metal notables like Anthrax, Testament, Venom, King s X, Overkill and Raven from the underground into the mainstream. Sincere and fulsome tributes have poured in for Zazula from metal icons not usually known for open-hearted sentimentality. Metallica s Lars Ulrich called her a selfless matriarch in a tribute posted to his Instagram account. Ulrich thanked Zazula for supporting us, for encouraging us, for advising us, for sheltering us, for feeding us, and most importantly for cheering us on and along with your husband Jonny, believing in the possibilities of how a gang of misfits and outsiders like ourselves could connect with a larger and likeminded audience.

low fidelity (or “how i spent the nervous breakdown”), this special recording was designed to be experienced as a single continuous odyssey (the vinyl copies won’t even be banded).
