the equal act passed the house with 361 votes, including kevin mccarthy and jim jordan, it has law enforcement, supported has civil rights group support, it has led the republican cosponsors in the senate. it has supermajority support. there s no reason this can t get done. if we fail, we are gonna have families separated for decades longer for no reason. people have to weigh in with their senators immediately before time runs out. and everybody was giving themselves a big pat on the back it was very important legislation it s called the first step act because a second step needs to happen, and a second step, and a lot of these policies reside at the local level. this is an entire uplifting and reimagining of the criminal justice system. thank you kevin thank you for putting this on our radar. i appreciate the work you are doing here and making time to
