the die is cast. there s nothing the administration or congress could do today that would make a meaningful difference with respect to the job market between now and next spring. but there are many things they could do that would make a difference with respect to that long-term unemployment problem i just mentioned. so, there are things that can be done and should be done. we should nail down these tax cuts that are expiring at the end of the year, unless congress and the administration do something. the president has made a point about passing the small business bill in front of congress. that should be done. i do think it makes some logical sense to start talking about a large infrastructure spending program out years that is paid for. we have to pay for it, but i think that makes sense as well. you have said in the past and i assume you still agree that when it comes to the tax rates, they should continue as is, even though they re supposed to go into they re supposed to expire
