The Cardinals (3-11) took an early lead Sunday and played well in the first half before the San Francisco 49ers eventually pulled away for a 45-29 win. The 49ers are a juggernaut these days, winning six games in a row overall and 12 games straight against NFC West division rivals.
The St. Louis Cardinals dove into the free agent pitcher's market in the early weeks of the offseason, but haven't finalized any moves during the Winter Meetings, which are set to end Wednesday.
