DJ Williams scored a go-ahead touchdown from two-yards out midway through the fourth quarter to finish off a nine-play drive as Arizona beat Stanford 21-20 on Saturday to open Pac-12 Conference play with a road win. The Wildcats closed out the win with backup quarterback Noah Fifita under center, after starter Jayden de Laura left the game early in the fourth quarter with an apparent leg injury. Stanford — coming off a loss to FCS-member Sacramento State in last week’s home opener — also entered the game on a five-game conference losing streak, but had won the previous six contests against Arizona.
Line: Arizona by 12 1/2, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The Cardinal are looking to get back on track after losing their conference opener to USC two weeks ago and then again last week to FCS-level Sacramento State.
So, ya think that Nick Saban guy down in Tuscaloosa wishes he’d gone after the QB now calling signals in South Bend, instead of the one who did so last season?

Stanford looks to bounce back from a blowout loss at USC in its home opener under first-year coach Troy Taylor, who was hired away from Sacramento State after last season. The Hornets are seeking their first win over a Pac-12 school since beating Colorado 30-28 in 2012.
