Mizzima China and the Myanmar junta will jointly implement wind power projects for the first time in Ann, Thandwe and Gwa Townships in Rakhine State, the junta media reports. The Ministry of Electricity, Directorate of Electric Energy Planning (DEPP) and Primus Advanced Technologies Yunnan Machinery and Equipment Import and Export Co. Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in Naypyitaw for these wind power projects.
Myanmar's Union Minister for Electric Power, U Thaung Han, has confirmed that th country is in talks with Russia to generate electricity from wind power, small hydropower and thermal energy, and to build a factory to produce lithium batteries for EVs.
