In honor of the birthday of a local girl who passed away, donations are being accepted at locations around town for products that will be donated to the Adair County Humane Society. Kenlee Wallace, who would have turned 16 on Aug. 5, was known, according to friends and family, for her kind and giving soul and her support of local charities.
Due to the continued threat of flare-ups at the Daily Express office building at 701 E. LaHarpe Street, staff has moved to offices across the parking lot at 705 E. LaHarpe Street, #F. Kirksville firefighters were on-scene at the office complex most of the night, July 7 and the early morning of July 8, working to snuff out smoldering hot points that continued to plague the building.
Kirksville police and state fire investigators are analyzing a crime scene at an office complex at 701 E. LaHarpe Street, after an early morning fire ripped through the south side of the building centered at the offices of Grow Counseling. According to police, a call came in at 3:46 on the morning of Friday, July 7. Kirksville Police Fire Investigator Ray Jagger, said it appears to be arson.
