Tamil Nadu's traditional wind instrument, Narasinghapettai Nagaswaram made by traditional village artisans of Kumbakonam has got the prestigious Geographical Indication (GI) tag. The GI registry has issued the registration certificate based on the application filed on January 31, 2014.
