NSCN-IM has denied its role in supplying arms and sending cadres to Manipur to assist a particular community in the ethnic strife torn Manipur. A video of allegedly a NSCN-IM cadre has surfaced in social media where he claims about 15 NSCN Cadres are coming to join Meiteis to fight against Kukis. He had claimed this order had come from a high ranking official in the outfit.
The repeated looting of armoury in Manipur has raised concerns in the security establishment for there is fear that this may lend in the hands of armed miscreants or insurgent groups operating in Northeast India.
The police stated that during the last 24 hours, the situation in the state is still volatile and tense with sporadic incidents of firing and congregation of unruly mob. Security Forces have conducted search operations in the vulnerable and fringe areas of the State. Joint security forces conducted operation in Koutruk hill range and destroyed seven illegal bunkers.

Manipur police on Thursday stated an unruly mob stormed 2d IRB, Naranseina, Keirenphabi Police Outpost and Thangalawai Police Outpost in Bishnupur District and took away a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
