HUNDREDS of people from around Cape Town have bid farewell to Lonwabo Jack, who was killed on his birthday in Nyanga last month. The 22-year-old was raped and murdered in Mau Mau, Nyanga on 16 April while celebrating his birthday at a friend’s place. Many people filled the streets as they bid farewell to Lonwabo who was buried at Delft Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, 1 May. The LGBTIQ+ community gave him a befitting send-off as they sang and danced with a rainbow flag at the graveyard. MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho and the rest of the Podcast and Chill team are set to undergo diversity training with regards to issues faced by the LGBTIQ+ community, following their recent gaffes on air. This is according to MacG himself who recently hosted a sit down with trans activist Yaya Mavundla, after his show came under fire for transphobic comments made by MacG’s co-host Sol Phenduka.
