The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) announced on Monday that its Thamama Centre of Excellence (Thamama) has generated $1.1 billion (Dh4.04 billion) in business value since its inception in 2017.
The announcement was made at Adnoc’s Innovation Week, which is taking place virtually from February 21-25.

The announcement was made at Adnoc’s Innovation Week, which is taking place virtually from 21st -25th February.
Named after the reservoir formation most dominant in Abu Dhabi, Thamama is a key part of Adnoc’s ongoing strategic investments in advanced technology, digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive greater efficiencies, quickly respond to market dynamics, and enable smart growth as the company continues to deliver on its 2030 strategy.
Adnoc, ExxonMobil sign R&D tech collaboration deal
ABU DHABI, December 11, 2020 The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has signed a strategic framework agreement with energy giant ExxonMobil, focused on exploring joint technology research and development (R&D) partnership opportunities across the oil and gas upstream value chain. Under the terms of the agreement, Adnoc and ExxonMobil will identify areas of mutual interest for conducting R&D and co-developing technology solutions that will help increase upstream operational efficiencies, strengthen health, safety and environment, HSE, management, and unlock business value. Initial areas identified include advanced non-metallic solutions, field testing and integrity management, smart reservoir management and well monitoring systems, and innovative emergency response systems.
