CM announces setting up cardiac centre in Bhakkar

LAHORE:Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has announced setting up a cardiac centre in Bhakkar as well and assured early solution of problems of public representatives.
Usman Buzdar said that every district of Punjab was being awarded development package under the vision of composite development.
Parliamentarians and PTI office-bearers called on the chief minister in Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Bhakkar on Thursday and thanked him for awarding development package for Bhakkar. The chief minister said that the government was making efforts to solve the problems through the district development package and proposals and suggestions of elected representatives were being given due importance in this regard. Universal health programme approved

Punjab cabinet has approved a universal health coverage programme to offer health insurance to entire population of the province by December 2021, besides winding up of anti-terrorism courts (ATCs) in Sargodha and Rawalpindi.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar chaired the 40th meeting of the provincial cabinet held on Monday.
The cabinet also constituted a ministerial committee to ensure implementation of the universal health insurance programme in a timely manner.
Moreover, the cabinet also approved establishment of Thal University in Bhakkar to bring the underdeveloped region on par with developed cities.
Official sources said it also gave in-principle approval of amendments to the Evacuee Trust Properties and Displaced Persons Laws (Repeal) Act, 1975.

LAHORE: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the Punjab cabinet has approved the universal health coverage programme to provide health insurance to 100 per cent population of the province by December 2021, adding that the funds of Rs65 billion are being allocated for this welfare project. These views were expressed by the Special Assistant to CM in a post-cabinet press conference at 90-SQA on Monday. Talking to media, Dr Firdous said that the cabinet has accorded approval to establish Lahore Central Business District Development Authority to promote business activities at Walton airport and its surrounding areas besides providing facilities to investors on priority basis.
