Details of New Animal Center for Copperas Cove Released The Copperas Cove City Council recently met to discuss development of a new animal shelter that will house more animals than the previous site. According to a report from Thaddeus Imerman with the Killeen Daily Herald, a newly proposed $5 million animal center for Copperas Cove is being discussed by the Copperas Cove City Council. Currently the Copperas Cove City Council is considering using city owned property at the intersection of Ogletree Pass and Five Hills Road for the location of the new animal shelter. This location provides the most visibility, is not too close to residential housing, and also offers room for expansion in the future.
