Pointing and name calling on capitol hill the mood in washington is shifting. Is growing optimism about reopening the government and avoiding default. Both democrats and republicans say they are confident a deal will be done within days. Mike viqueira joins us live from the white house. What has changed . A deal may be in hand at the senate. But the same internal g. O. P. Politics that have brought the nation to the brink mean there are no guarantees that a senate bill can pass in the house. Im feel la ing a little sticky. [ laughter ] if republicans werent willing to set aside some of their partisan concerns in order to do what is right for the country, we stand a good chance of defaulting.
