MONTPELIER â When Montpelier got to the free-throw line, it converted â and it paid off.
The Locomotives hit 23 of 29 from the line, which helped push four Montpelier players into double-digit scoring and never let Stryker get a lead in a 52-36 win over the Panthers in a Buckeye Border Conference game Thursday at Superior Athletic Complex.
âAnytime you get four kids in double digits, that makes a good team,â Montpelier coach Justin Houk said. âAnd we got more than just four. All the kids on the team can put the ball in the hole. But, tonight four did.
âIt was a good win.â
