debate. you kind of gave him a pass in one, willing to give him a pass in two had there been improvement in three. what s going on? is it his m.o.? you re a texas guy. you re an us is tin guy. is he just not somebody who likes to debate, likes to prep for debates? what s the deal? well, i think getting in late his campaign was overwhelmed. they re drinking from a fire hose. they were trying to do too many things. he had a big speech just three hours before his last debate. so i don t think they really understood what a priority that ought to be. but there s only a few chances in campaigns when you get to really change the dynamic and the debate is one of few of those. as i pointed out, other candidates i ve worked for, including george w. bush, worked ferociously for debates, six months ahead of time. dick cheney was a maniac about his debate preparation. i think they get it now. listen, the perry campaign collapse story is quickly going to be followed by the perry resurrection story
square. yeah. wouldn t have been our first choice, but a nice gesture. with rick perry in new york last night, where did the donald take him? the fancy, expensive located in the trump apartment building on central park. not for a texas guy. so trump goes from the $2 slice of pizza with sarah palin to a restaurant that s costing the average guest $127. per person for dinner. so why did perry join trump? we re just going to be talking about, you know, how to create jobs in america. donald trump s pretty good about creating jobs, and i ve got to think donald s got some advice for me. fair enough. fair enough. but when you think of hiring, i m not sure hire is the word you re hired. you re hired? that s what he says, right? you re fired.
he has baggage the first thing they point to the personal baggage with the marriages and the affair that he admitted to, but what else is there? he does have a pretty big record people can go after. he has a long record. pluses and minuses here. he is known as a great thinker and he s known as anni ideas ma that s good. some other strengths can be weaknesses, t.j. he has done a lot of things. that s good. a lot of experience, but, again, maybe that s not so good. maybe he s yesterday s news. newt gingrich is not a fresh face. he has a lot of name i.d. people know newt gingrich. maybe it s not a good thing, when you look at those numbers, those unfavorable numbers are pretty high. people know him and may not like him. stay tuned on newt gingrich. if people are looking for a fresh face, they got one yesterday. this new, young guy declared yesterday that he also is getting into the race. this texas guy from ron paul, is that the name? young guy. 75 years old.
