by other states and with respect to other constitutional rights and educational precedence. professor, what do you think of the doj s case? do they have an argument? the doj certainly has strong case on the merits, but the real question is can they first get into court on those procedural issues? it s notable that the united states can sue another sovereign state like texas. texas doesn t have any sovereign immunity from that suit. so that gets around one aspect of this. the doj suit can arguably get to those legal actors in texas, like the judges and the county clerks who are charged with processing these lawsuits as they come in but raises a question to the private citizens. i think there s still very much a question of whether the doj suit can actually enjoin the entire universe of those plaintiffs going forward. and there may also be questions about whether the united states
they could just sign this in a room of mostly full of men cheer for it and keep it moving but now they find themselves in a position of trying to characterize rape. right, as if texas doesn t have the most rapes in the united states statistically, nair number one. they re now trying to argue backwards and say, no, no, no, no, no, rain is already legal. i think if you are arguing rape is illegal. no kidding. we re going to stop rape. you are losing the argument. do you get the sense that they overplayed their hand and they will start to see a backlash that is real and potentially politically damaging? i think, absolutely, they overplayed their hand, two-thirds of texans believe in the roe versus wade in their constitutional rights. two-thirds of texans believe that. the question is, will they be held accountable and ultimately, that s up to us. because the only way they re
education, federal government doesn t run local schools. it is up to states to make decisions to protect their citizens, not president biden from washington telling every state what to do about masks. todd: how is the court going to rule on this? will they say these rules are in place to a reason, we need to protect health and safety or policy what president biden is trying to do is illegal? president biden doesn t have authority to regulate individual school policies. this is a state decision like texas doesn t have the authority in florida. it is up to each state to regulate how they take care of their children and citizens. we will be successful if they want to do something in court. jillian: keep us updated and we will follow that. we continue to track the number of migrants crossing the southern border on track to be the worst in history. this is from the princeton
infrastructure, keeping the lights on. such as covid-19 because our governor this week decided that no local elected official would be allowed to invoke a mask mandate. why? why are you continuing to kill people in the state of texas? that s what we need to talk about. that s where we have real numbers and a real problem. the list of things we didn t think we would say on this show in the morning just grew longer. texas doesn t have a baby daddy called voter fraud. jasmine crocket, thank you. you have woken us all up. jasmine crocket state representative from texas. we won t go far from texas. we have a live report from that voting rights rally from austin, texas later in the hour. the rally will take place at 11:00 eastern, 10:00 a.m. central, but they re literally walking the final mile of a walk across texas. we ll catch up with julian castro who will join that march
they re liars. i mean, i don t really know how else to put it except the fact they re liars. earlier this week i had an opportunity to do a town hall. i talked about the numbers. i don t know what the exact numbers are when we start talking percentages. what i told that group, because this is a group that deals with women s rights as it relates to their bodies. i said let s think of it like maury povich and the baby daddy situation he would have all the time. the reality is texas doesn t have an issue. texas doesn t have a baby daddy named voter fraud when we look at the numbers. from a scientific standpoint, yes, there may be some voter fraud. nothing in this world is perfect. when we look at the number, it s 0.000 something. so essentially if we were talking in the words of maury povich, it would be texas, you don t have a baby daddy named voter fraud. let s move on to things we do have a problem with such as our
