FacebookTwitterEmail
The waivers on expiration dates for Texas Department of Public Safety-issued driver licenses and identification cards and Texas Department of Motor Vehicle-issued title and registration requirements are set to end in April.
Governor Greg Abbott’s office granted the waivers in March for driver licenses, commercial driver licenses, commercial learner permits, ID cards and election identification certificates that expired on or after March 13, 2020. A few days later, he granted waivers for expired vehicle registrations.
Those waivers will no longer apply after April 14, 2021. Those affected are encouraged to complete renewals by that date.
