The Texas Alerts system mistakenly issued an Amber Alert for Chucky, the murderous doll from the
Child’s Play film series, and his fictional son, Glen Ray, on Friday morning (January 29).
As uncanny as it sounds, images of the false alert described Chucky as a “suspect” in the supposed “disappearance” of Glen, who is listed as the “abducted child.” Even stranger, the alert used images of the dolls, describing them both in complete detail.
Chucky is listed as a 28-year-old with red or auburn hair and blue eyes, standing at 3’1”, weighing 16 pounds, and described his race as “Other: Doll.” In additional information about the doll, the alert notes Chucky’s infamous attire: “Blue denim overalls with multi-colored striped long sleeve shirt wielding a huge kitchen knife.”
