(Photos: The Virgin Islands Daily News) (WPLG) Opa-locka, Fla. – Two U.S. Virgin Islands police officers, along with four others, have been charged with drug trafficking after more than 700 pounds of cocaine were found as the officers and two other men landed on a private plane at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. Federal agents said Teshawn Adams, 26, and Shakim Mike, 29, U.S. Virgin Islands police officers, and two others, traveled to Miami on a private passenger flight from St. Thomas on Tuesday. They were detained after Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers discovered the cocaine, packaged as 294 individually plastic-wrapped bricks during a scan of luggage at the airport upon the plane’s arrival.
