A Birthday Party at the Swimming Pool when a white mail opened fire. A Police Officer helicopter arrived over the scene, and they could see the gunman reloading. Three officers arrived. They say the shooter pointed his gun at them, all three officers opened fire, killing him. From the screams, you could hear somebody or people were hit. I could see everybody on the balcony just ducking down for cover. And the shots were being fired from the same place, the area where the police were located around the pool. san diegos police chief said its unclear what motivated the shooter. Weve seen a few arrests and crowds are only expected to get bigger. Were looking live and pete suratos is there at the ground. We saw it from up above. How is it looking from where you are . This is the second may day rally taking place, the theme a day without immigrants. The plaza is beginning to fill. Several hundred people are here and as this one begins another one wraps up in downtown San Francisco. The corporate wealth of this country was built on the backs of slaves and immigrants. No homes had to be evacuated, but im told the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley was evacuated when the fires first broke out but it only lasted about ten minutes when crews realized they were going to get a handle on this pretty quickly. The Wildlife Center building was not damaged. Back out here lives, crews, as i said, getting a handle on this fire that made for a very scary afternoon for the homeowners here. Say ranger had nice video for us as the fire was breaking out. Again, it was a grassy area and the homeowners, it came close to their homes. They pulled out their garden hoses and began trying to help firefighters. One of them tells me she was not about to let this fire consume her home. She was out here after another flames were out wetting down the dry grass to make sure if it did flare up again, it did not come close to her house. Right over here by the Penitencia Creek areas the fire crews are still in the mop up position. Hitting the hotspots again.
