the parking lot i was talking about is being pull. ed from the scene by hand. this very minute, a frantic effort to see if there are still people left underneath that rubble. i can t even believe that s a car. it s unbelievable. i mean, they just got everybody there, they re pulling it. are they using chains or rope, mariana? what are they pulling it with? reporter: they re pulling it with a rope, pulling it by hand, ali. a car that is practically a pancake after the earthquake. we know that there was a parking lot at this textile factory. three stories. and most of what was there was completely flattened out. now they re trying to push this car by hand. as you can see, it s a very rudimentary effort here. there are no sort of big machineries except for a big crane. but everything is being done by hand which means that there are people getting hurt. there s even a unit where they re giving out tetanus shots to people because it s a very volatile situation. i m going to move over
can you tell people? what is it they can do to help themselves besides going online and doing what you just said? well, you know, most be safe. that s one of the most important things. if your home or business have been flooded, you know, wear gloves and rubber boots and a mask, particularly if that water s been in there and the mold has started in. because i know in florida the humidity and stuff there it would grow much faster. and because the get bleach, clorox, whatever you re going to use to clean. and just keep safe. and make sure that you have your tetanus shots so in case you step on a nail or cut yourself. but, you know, the most important thing is for you and your family to get registered so fema will know you need help and assistance and for the small business owners, you know, if your business has been flooded and everything, contact the
organisms. there s a dual threat there and then the kind of chemicals that if you ingest them obviously you can have a degree of difficulty there. there are a multiple spectrum of things that either directly on your skin or if you ingest them can give you a problem. in fact, we re hearing or seeing from one of the congressman in that area, he is getting word that some of the hospitals or the medical treatment centers are running out of tetanus shots. how concerning is that? well, if people are up on their booster, you need a tetanus shot about every ten years. it isn t that everybody is going to need a tetanus shot, but make sure you re up on your immunizations and if you haven t had one within a reasonable period of time that s something to be concerned about. you have advised five presidents on domestic challenges. what will you tell president trump to do to lower the risk for the big public health problems we are discussing in
