This is a very painful moment for me to inform you all fans, friends and family of my husband. You played a villain in some of your movies but for me you re a real hero and to a lot of people also. A good man, a good father, a good husband and a decent human being, very rare to find, she wrote.
It is currently unclear what was the cause of his death.

The actor’s wife, Tessie Sinahon, announced his death on Facebook, and Kotto’s agent confirmed the news to
Variety. His cause of death was not immediately available.
“You played a villain on some of your movies, but for me you’re a real hero and to a lot of people also,” Sinahon wrote. “A good man, a good father, a good husband and a decent human being, very rare to find.”
Kotto was reportedly born in New York City on Nov. 15, 1939, and started studying acting at age 16 at the Actors Mobile Theater Studio. He made his theatrical debut in a performance of
