Residents of Hampshire can get twice-weekly rapid Covid testing. Everyone in England will now be able to access twice-weekly rapid Covid testing at home. The tests, for people without Covid symptoms, are designed to prevent Covid outbreaks, by alerting people to the fact they have the virus before symptoms start. It had previously been reserved for those who need need to leave home for work and education, but after schools went back in March, the scheme has now rolled out to everyone in England. The lateral flow tests sees patients take a swab of their nose and throat, and then place the swab in a solution.
A PILE-UP on the A33 at Tesco Chineham roundabout has led to some traffic delays in the area this afternoon. An eye-witness told the Gazette that at about 3.30pm, around five cars had pulled over on the carriage-way, with two of the vehicles appearing to be damaged, and a group of people standing on the grass verge beside them. Darren Sainsbury was on his way to Tesco when he spotted the scene. There was probably about five cars involved and a van parked to one side, he said. A group of seven or eight people were standing there and there was a pile up and delays. It looked a mess, but there were no police or anything.
