A massive 400 jobs are being created at Grimsby’s Young’s Seafood – and here’s how to apply.
It currently has 37 roles with numerous positions open for online applications in Grimsby.
These include fork lift truck driver, payroll clerk, mutli skilled engineer, IT operations team leader, fish runner, among more.
Site director at Young’s, Terry Tuplin, said: “We’re proud to be in a position where we can grow our team and continue to help inspire our nation to love and eat fish now and for generations.
Young’s Seafood is recruiting for 400 permanent positions in a range of factory-based roles at its facilities in Grimsby.
The roles include production operatives at the company’s factory at Humberstone Road, at The Docks and across the producer’s wider estate.
All the production operative roles required no previous experience of working in a fish or food manufacturing environment, Young’s said. However, candidates are expected to have ‘a willingness to learn, the right attitude and a desire to succeed’.
Increased demand
The new positions have been driven by an increased demand for Young’s products, the company said. Once filled, the roles would take the seafood producer’s headcount in Grimsby to about 3,000.

More than 400 new jobs are being created by Grimsby’s Young’s Seafood as it looks to become an employer of 3,000 in the town by the end of the year.
Increased demand for the company’s products is behind the huge recruitment drive - with a variety of factory-based roles available across the sites.
It comes just weeks after the parent company - Eight Fifty Food Group - was bought out by Canadian firm Sofina Foods, creating a £4.3 billion transatlantic entity.
