Younger Thliveros triumphs at Seminole

Nick Thliveros of St. Augustine, Fla. brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 21-13 to win the three-day Southern Toyota Series event at Lake Seminole (Bainbridge, Ga.) with a three-day total of 62-11. The son of longtime tour pro Peter Thliveros prevailed by 1-12 over runner-up Matt Baty of Bainbridge and captured the top payout of $37,809 in the division s third and final tournament of 2021.
Settling down in Spring Creek, Thliveros said he fished one 50-yard stretch all week.
Its something Ive had some previous knowledge on, but Ive never really been here at the right time for it, said Thliveros. Ive never been here far enough in the post-spawn to make those fish get in the deeper water.
