Volunteers within the community conduct their search for young beach swimmer

Members of the Corpus Christi Fire Department says they are still in full recovery mode. They are not the only ones, several agencies like the United States Coast Guard, Corpus Christi beach rescue, CCFD, and more searching the open waters.
Bassâ mother Ana says the family came to the beach Sunday night, Andrew and his 16-year-old brother went for a swim and thatâs when things took a turn.
His mother also says two surfers were able to help the younger brother back to shore but they could not find Andrew. Besides first responders conducting their recovery, several volunteers were conducting their own search.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Terry Samuels is a part of a beach safety task force and all around concerned neighbor of Padre island. He said for years, people have gotten away with crime on the Kleberg County s side of the beach because of lack of patrolling.
âI saw it start in my world years ago when the young kid was buried alive in the sand, Samuels said. Me and the constable had to go down there and help rescue him. And then of course Corpus Christi Fire Department ambulance pulled up on the beach to transport him.â

We can take advantage of the use of over five thousand general aviation airports across the country and distribute vaccines to rural areas that would take dozens of hours to drive to, or don t even have commercial air service.
The Civil Air Patrol, known as the C.A.P, is using its aircraft to distribute vaccines to rural and isolated areas so more people can be vaccinated faster. The C.A.P. is an auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force and was established on the eve of World War Two as a way to strengthen our country s civil defense. Now it is fighting another type of war, against an invisible and deadly enemy.
