Clark s sister Lavonne Clark, his Aunt Jo Ann Mitchel Bolden, and nephew Terry Rust were there to receive a copy of the bridge sign. Some of Clark s high school friends attended also.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) An Alabama bridge has been renamed to honor a Huntsville native killed in the Vietnam War. The Drake Avenue Bridge, which crosses Pinhook Creek, was renamed Monday the Lance Corporal Larry G. Clark Memorial Bridge by the City of Huntsville, multiple news agencies reported. Clark was 21 years old when he took on an attacking enemy with a grenade launcher, saving countless lives, officials said. Friends of Clark say he grew.
