The secretary of a city mosque has spoken of his worry after anti-Islamic graffiti was daubed close to the religious building.
Offensive anti-Islamic graffiti was sprayed in yellow paint onto the pavement close to Norwich Central Mosque and Islamic Community Centre on Aylsham Road, on Saturday May 15.
Sirajul Islam, secretary at the mosque, said it has caused concern amongst his congregation, particularly as it came a year after an arson attack on the same building.
“We didn t see it, he said. The police rang me and said it was reported from the neighbours.

Police seized 20kg of cannabis worth £250,000 from a pair of cars travelling down the A11.
The biggest single seizure in recent weeks came when the Roads and Armed Policing Team found the shopping bags packed with cannabis when they stopped the drivers near Attleborough on Monday, January 4.

A BMW and Audi were pulled over at midday.
Two men in their 20s were arrested. One has been bailed while Adurid Sulejmanji, aged 22 and of no fixed address, has been charged with supplying class B drugs and remanded in custody.

A man has been arrested in connection with a rave which was stopped in its tracks by police on New Year s Eve.
Around 60 people were discovered at the site in Ludham.

A total of 24 people were hit with fixed penalty notices after police shut down the unlicensed music event on Hall Road, Ludham on Thursday (December 31).
And now police have revealed a 32-year-old-man has been arrested on suspicion of carrying on a licensable activity otherwise than under and in accordance with an authorisation issued under the Licensing Act 2003 (organising an illegal gathering).

People living in Norfolk and Suffolk stuck to coronavirus rules, police have said, with officers seeing a largely uneventful evening.
Police forces around the region had urged people to follow Tier 4 rules during New Year s Eve, usually a night when friends and family gather and pubs and restaurants are jampacked.
Superintendent Terry Lordan said the large majority of residents had spent a peaceful evening welcoming in the New Year, for which I am grateful .
Elsewhere, Suffolk police said it had seen a relatively peaceful New Year s Eve, with 173 calls taken from 11pm to 6am, including 31 A-grades, those requiring an emergency response.
