He was faced with a do or die dilemma. Based on a lack of charges, Sonoma Countys outraged community had become resigned to the decision. He has become a stressful sick bol of a disconnect between the community and Law Enforcement. Its letting cops get away with murder. Gelhaus a 13yearold child that was not threatening anyone. That wasnt doing anything wrong. In explaining her decision she cited witnesses and video from a cell phone, noting Deputy Gelhaus and his partner had not responded to a complaint. They saw him and called out to drop the rifle. It happened in seconds.
