Constantine Public Schools Board of Education on Monday discussed putting a cap on school of choice. It was noted that some students yo-yo between schools.
Superintendent Jim Wisely said communication is the key and a decision must be made regarding enrollment.
“Do we want to continue to expand like we are now by adding students, or do we want to put a cap on it? Wisely said.
Board president Terry Burgess said the school needs controlled growth, not “chaotic” growth.
The school board decided to study the issue further at future meetings.
In a separate matter, Wiseley said there has been a problem registering kindergarten-age students in a timely manner.

HINCHMAN
Clarence Leroy Hinchman, 83, a resident of Elkins passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at his home.
He was born, May 12, 1937, a son of the late Wilford Jacob and Flora Haddix Hinchman. He had never married.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Also preceding him in death were brothers, Frank, Wilfred, Calvin and Lonnie Hinchman; and sisters, Anna Gay Hinchman, Irene Radcliff and Maudie Lorraine Hinchman.
Clarence was a graduate of Elkins High School where he participated in basketball and track. He later enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball.
Clarence was employed as a custodian for many years for the Randolph County Schools prior to his retirement. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.

Valerie Sue Collett, 67, a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 6, 2021, at the American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery. Pastor Terry Burgess will officiate and interment will follow.
Masks and social distancing is recommended at the gravesite.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either, Special Olympics West Virginia, 3055 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane, WV 25526 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105-9959, in memory of Valerie.
