HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) â A tense situation that unfolded two weeks ago in Horry County ended with a life-saving rescue.
On April 29, authorities were called to an active shooting incident on Miles Standish Court near S.C. 544. That situation included a fully-involved house fire.
According to information from Horry County Fire Rescue, after getting the nod from leadership with the Horry County Police Department that it was safe to proceed to firefighting, crews rushed in to get the blaze under control.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – New documents confirmed that a man connected to an active shooting and manhunt near Conway, also set fire to a home during the incident.
Terry Brady, 60, faces a slew of charges including attempted murder, discharging a weapon into a dwelling, kidnapping and second-degree arson.
Horry County police were first called last week to the area of Miles Standish Court, near Highway 544 and Fox Hollow Road, after they received a domestic violence complaint. Warrants show that Brady assaulted a woman and held a gun to the woman’s neck.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Arrest warrants are providing more information into the circumstances that sparked a manhunt outside of Conway last week.
According to authorities, 60-year-old Terry Brady is accused of threatening two women at various points on or about April 28 and April 29.
Arrest warrants state Brady hit one of the victims in the face and head with his fist and a pistol.

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) A man who fired shots as police arrived at a South Carolina home to investigate a domestic violence call was arrested Thursday, hours after the start of a massive air and ground search for him, authorities said.
Terry Brady was taken into custody about three hours after the shooting, Horry County Police said in a statement.
One person was injured and was treated at the scene by paramedics, authorities said.
Police earlier called the incident near Conway an active shooter situation and asked people to stay away. They had urged people living in the area to remain indoors while the search was underway.
