honoring the 6 people who lost their lives that day. live in new york, hello, cb. mike, hel hello to you. family and friends gather to remember what happened february 26, 1993, a terrorist bomb went off. a total of 6 people including a pregnant woman were killed and more than a thousand were injured. we had a chance to speak to the son of one of the victims, take a listen. i think about my father every day and, you know, that loss, you never you never lose that sense of loss, it gets easier but you never forget. a moment of silence was observed for those who died here followed by reading of their name. we also heard from several democratic dignitaries, senate majority leader chuck schumer,
business trip and then four days before christmas, john, among 259 passengers and crew, boarded pan am 103, which was a u.s. flagged boeing 747 flying from london to new york. and like you said, 38 minutes into the flight, at 31,000 feet, the terrorist bomb exploded and scattering the 259 souls, the airplane content and debris over a 845 square mile area on the serene country sooiside and tow lockerbie, scotland. at that moment 275 lives were shatter and thousands of victims from 21 nations were left to pick up the pieces. we really want to make sure that justice is served in order to avoid further attacks on the flying public and on the american people. yep.

well it s been 15 years now since that happened. rogue states like north korea and new nuclear powers like china i worry less. it seems like non-state actors actually have a pretty hard time getting their hands on the material and creating a terrorist bomb. in part, that s because they would need the assistance of an existing state. right now, none of the nuclear powers want to get caught with their hand in the terrorists cookie jar. it s not difficult to create a crude nuclear weapon. it s difficult to get through all the steps that will get you to finally creating a crude nuclear weapon, getting the appropriate material, getting the engineered parts and so on. but it s just a matter of time before somebody can do it. so we have to think about that. tom s new piece, we have no
