lists. so the watch lists should be ignored? no, they shouldn t be ignored. but they shouldn t be used as a tool to impede 700,000 americans or potential americans people on the list from having access to fully utilize their second amendment rights. there are many people on no fly lists that are not terrorists not just no fly lists on any of the terror watch lists. that amendment was not just limited to the no fly list. that s not a perfect data base. it has a significant number of errors. senator marco rubio, thank you for joining us. please wish your wife happy birthday for us. thank you. coming up president obama said it s insane that you can be on the terror watch list unable to board a plane but able to buy explosives or firearms. the republicans disagree. we ll have more on that coming up.
we are learning more about tashfeen malik and how she came to the u.s. on a fiancee visa. to get that visa, she was supposed to be subjected to a vetting process that includes interviews, fingerprints, checks against terror watch lists and reviews of her family members travel history and places she lived and worked. plus, she was subjected to additional scrutiny because she applied from a country that is home to some islamic extremists. how did she slip through the cracks? chairman bob goodlat does a lot of work on visas. chairman, thank you for being with us. there are reports that apparently the address that she listed, her foreign address, may not have even been accurate. this is very, very serious because we ve had concerns about enforcement of our immigration laws following 9/11, we required that anyone have an interview prior to coming to the u.s. unfortunately, the obama administration has interpreted that to mean only the initial

i think that s the important piece. clearly we re going to need to talk about these horrific acts, the role guns played in this, and we re going to need to talk about what we need to do to combat isis and terrorism moving forward. but here in the community of san bernardino, the want the president to acknowledge that our first responders did an incredible job, and that the families here are going to be affected for many, many years to come. and now begins this healing process. congressman aguilar, some are saying despite california s tough gun laws, the shooters were still able to get their hands on these weapons. should lawmakers be focussing on gun control to prevent these types of tradition and what gun laws should california and other states consider? well, at a minimum, at the national level, i think we need to ensure that those folks on terror watch lists don t have access to weapons. that s a vote that i took the day of this incident as i walked
