Five suspected terrorists arrested in Kisumu on Sunday have been transferred to Nairobi as detectives move to finalise investigations.
On Monday, a Kisumu court granted the police 10 more days to continue holding the suspects for interrogation.
Yesterday, detectives from the Anti-Terror Police Unit drove the suspects to their headquarters at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for further questioning.
The suspects are Jamal Muhamud, Abdul Razzaq, Nadeed Muhammad, Amin Muhammad and Younas Muhammad, all of Pakistani origin.
A detective privy to the investigations said that the suspects had travelled in two groups through the Kenya-Uganda border.

squad Densus 88 on April 1 arrested three more terror suspects with alleged
links to the
suicide bombing at the Cathedral Church in Makassar city, South
Sulawesi province, on March 28.
So far,
Densus 88 has arrested 16 people in Makassar and its surrounding
areas, spokesperson for South Sulawesi Police, Senior Commissioner Pol. E
Zulpan said.
The three suspects were arrested from three different locations, Zulpan
informed, without providing further details.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in different parts of Kerala and arrested three terror suspects on Monday. The NIA carried out raids in Malappuram, Kasaragod, Kollam, and Kannur. As per sources, the agency has registered a case related to an IS module mostly comprising persons from Kerala.

BALIKESIR, Turkey
Turkish authorities issued arrest warrants on Monday for at least 36 people for their suspected links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the group behind the 2016 defeated coup in the country, according to a security source.
The prosecutors sought the arrest of suspects, including 24 on-duty, three retired and nine dismissed soldiers, in the northwestern Balikesir province as part of a probe launched into the terror group’s infiltration into the military, said the source on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
It was found that the suspects were in contact with FETO members via payphone, it added.
