shooting. catherine herridge is live in washington good, afternoon. reporter: i just wanted to step back and give you some context, having covered the area for 15 years. it s highly unusual within a five hour window for the fbi to already be in the lead and to have a news conference where they re confirming several hundred agents will be on the scene and they re starting point is domestic terrorism barring evidence that would exclude that. that is highly unusual. they also confirmed at the news conference the individual was not military, which would seem to rule out some kind of work-place grudge, and that the individual did not have known ties to the individuals who were targeted. but at that news conference they used very specific language about the brutal attack and the method of attack, certainly speaking to the idea that the military was targeted in this
