Man sentenced to 10-20 years in prison for shooting police officer in Dauphin County

A man who last month pleaded guilty to last year shooting and wounding a Lower Swatara Township police officer will spend up to 20 years in prison.
Andrew Changhan Park, 49, of Mechanicsburg, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault, burglary, simple assault, and terroristic threats in connection to the shooting in October of last year.
Judge Richard A. Lewis immediately sentenced Park to 10 to 20 years in a state correctional institution.
Park had the assistance of a Korean interpreter during the guilty plea and sentencing hearing, which was held on Nov. 30.
