good morning to both of you. this just keeps getting worse and worse. what s unique about this, i think you can both agree, it s not partisan. this problem, unfortunately, has spanned administrations, but it does make me wonder as this gets worse and worse, where does the buck stop? when does it begin hurting the president? well, it may have already. as you recall, when he campaigned in 2008 he campaigned in part on trying to fix the v.a. most people think general shinseki who just resigned, terrific man, army chief of staff but clearly the place is a mess. republicans so far, you re right, republicans so far on this one have not seemed to partisan the way they have been on the irs and these other things, they have not. if i give them free advice, stay with the facts. the facts are outrangeous and indefensible. everybody wants to get to the bottom of it. there ought to be investigations by the congress, and there ought to be prosecutions, if warranted but so far the republicans have
much time dwelling on the past because we have to keep our vision looking ahead. that s what the president does, gets up every morning with energy and enthusiasm and an appreciation for the struggle that average people are going through, and they need him fighting on their behalf. he is not discouraged at all, and he was saying he may be hoarse but that s okay because he is out there fighting hard. are we in the media making too much of peter rouse. he is chief of staff. he has been doing a terrific job. as you know he goes way back with the president being his chief of staff during the senate. he has great relationships here in washington and also around the can untree. we have a meeting going on right now with the senior staff and doing a terrific job, terrific man. thank you so much for joining us. my pleasure.
