A road upgrade contract has been awarded to Duz Cho Construction L.P., a wholly-owned enterprise of the McLeod Lake Indian Band, and Ledcor CMI Ltd. When completed, 26 kilometres of upgraded all-weather forest service access road will connect the project site with the Germansen North Road, a key transportation corridor in the region. In addition, the upgraded road will link in with the government-funded Mackenzie Connector project to provide all-weather road access between the communities of Mackenzie and Fort St. James.
