A Takoma Park police officer has been charged with sexually assaulting a minor, according to a Montgomery County police spokesperson.
Eric Mueller, 42, has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor and fourth-degree sexual offense, Sgt. Rebecca Innocenti told Bethesda Beat on Thursday.
Innocenti said she didn’t know the age or gender of the victim.
The victim and Mueller knew each other, Innocenti said. She declined to provide the nature of their relationship, citing the need to protect the victim’s privacy.
