The Switzerland County Lady Pacers hit the road for an afternoon tilt on Saturday, January 23rd and returned home with a big 59-45 win over South Decatur.
The Lady Pacers opened the contest on a huge offensive run, scoring 21 points in the opening eight minutes while holding their hosts to just 11. That 10-point margin would hold up throughout the remainder of the contest.
In the first, Maddie Duvall had the hot hand, accounting for 11 points on three three-pointers and a field goal.
Keirstan Oeffinger had five points on a three-pointer and field goal; Jayden Thomas drilled a trey for three points; and Nora Hankins had a field goal for two points.
Duvalls fuel blowout of CAI, 69-9
Coming off of a disappointing loss the night before in the Rivertown Classic championship game, Switzerland County Lady Pacer head coach Mark Boggs and his troops didn’t take long to shake off the after effects, hosting Christian Academy of Indiana in a Saturday matinee and winning by a lopsided score of 69-9.
It was over early, as the Lady Pacer outscored their guests 17-0 in the opening eight minutes.
Jessie Duvall led the way with eight points in the period, including two three pointers; while Maddie Duvall had a three pointer and a field goal for five points. Keirstan Oeffinger and Hannah Hayes each contributed a bucket in the first to round out the scoring.
