THE Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Wednesday reiterated its reminder to concerned local government units (LGUs) to make sure that the permanent danger zones (PDZs) around all active volcanoes are totally uninhabited even under Alert Level 0.
(UPDATE) THE Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on Monday that it may raise to Level 2 the current alert status of the Bulusan Volcano in Sorsogon province if its parameters continue to go up.
THE alert status over four active volcanoes, including Mayon Volcano in Albay province which is currently under Level 2, would remain as their parameters have not indicated a slowdown, especially in seismic activity.
