VA Black Hills offers walk in COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Fort Meade February 26, 2021 STURGIS, S.D. – The VA Black Hills Health Care System is hosting a Walk-In COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic. The event takes place on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Fort Meade Campus. All enrolled Veterans, regardless of age or priority group, may receive the vaccine at this clinic. Vaccines will be available on a first come, first serve basis and Veterans will be required to stay for a 15-minute observation period after the vaccination. The vaccine being administered is the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine. Information about the Moderna vaccine can be found at www.cdc.gov.

VA Black Hills to begin COVID-19 vaccinations December 24, 2020   FORT MEADE, S.D. VA Black Hills Health Care System will begin COVID-19 vaccinations on Monday December 28, 2020 using the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine following the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Emergency Use Authorization for the product. “VA Black Hills is excited to offer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to our health care personnel and Community Living Center Veterans,” said Teresa Forbes, Public Affairs Officer, “Receiving the vaccine is like having hope delivered. As vaccine supplies increase, our ultimate goal is to offer COVID-19 vaccination to all Veterans and employees who want to be vaccinated.”
