PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS: A homeowner in Texas has reportedly fatally shot a suspect in an alleged armed home invasion, according to police authorities. The suspect, along with two others, had held the homeowner s two young children at gunpoint. The Port Arthur Police were able to identify the dead suspect as 27-year-old Terence Ellies as the Justice of the Peace Tom Gilliam III ordered an autopsy to be conducted.
The police revealed that the owner of the home had shot the suspect after he had barged into their home with two other suspects who were armed, according to a KBTV report. The incident had occurred at a residence located on the 2500 block of 18th Street.

No one was in the house at the time, Hebert said.
Then, a few hours after the shots fired call, the house went up in flames. Port Arthur fire investigators are handling that part of the incident, Hebert said.
Police are working to figure out if all three incidents are connected. We can t say for sure, obviously if it was related but there is a high probability they were all part of the same individuals, Hebert said.
While speaking with Port Arthur Detective Mike Hebert, we learned the suspect who was shot and killed and the homeowner knew each other.

The following day, the home on 18th street in Port Arthur was also the apparent target of a shooting around 6 p.m., and a a few hours later a fire was reported there around midnight, Port Arthur News said.
Port Arthur Police said armed suspect Terence Ellies, 27, died Sunday at the scene of the aggravated robbery after he and two other armed suspects, whom police say may have known the homeowners, forcibly entered the residence as a female resident was arriving, according to PA News.
